August tends to be a month of high temperatures and even higher anxiety. We all tend to think: How will I possibly fit in everything I want to do this summer before the swan song of Labor Day? Take a breath, because there’s still a lot of summer to be had. From now through the end of September (and even into October), we can look forward to warm and increasingly comfortable temps, but without the crowds. How will spend your downtime? We have a few suggestions.
 
Paddle at Nockamixon State Park

Hike the Green Ribbon Trail
Strap on your hiking boots for a 12.6-mile trail beginning in Upper Gwynedd Township and ending in Whitemarsh. This recreational trail allows hikers to see wetlands, woodlands, and grasslands, along one of the Greater Philadelphia Area’s most pristine waterways. WVWA.org
