The Pinnacle of Care
Doylestown’s Ardent Smile offers the highest level of comprehensive dental care to ensure a healthy mouth for a lifetime
by Phil Gianficaro

When people find a dentist they know and trust, they tend to stick with them for the long haul. Based on Craig Beach’s experience, however, such dentists are exceedingly difficult to come by.

Last year, when Beach found himself fed up with his dentist’s detached demeanor, he set out to find another—and when he thought he did, he soon learned the new dentist’s inviting smile was intended only to draw him in; the new candidate’s personality was as cold as a winter’s day. Regretfully, Beach, a 39-year-old Doylestown resident, realized his search for a caring, high-quality dentist must continue.

And then he found who he had been hoping for all along: Dr. Inna Vinnikov, at Ardent Smile in Doylestown.

“From the first visit with Dr. Vinnikov, I was treated as a friend as well as a patient,” he says. “She talked to me about things other than just what dental work I was looking to have done; she asked about me and my family. I had just met her, but even then she seemed to really care about me as a person. She was interested in getting to know me, not just as someone who she was [billing for a service].”

Dr. Vinnikov’s philosophy has been unwavering from the moment she opened the doors to Ardent Smile three years ago: treat the patient as family, give them the very best dental care, educate patients about their dental health, and show them how to maintain a healthy mouth for a lifetime.

Dr. Vinnikov, who graduated from the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University, sums up her approach to patient care in one simple yet telling sentence: “I treat the patient the way I would want to be treated in the chair.”

Certified by the Pennsylvania Dental Association and American Dental Association, Ardent Smile provides the latest care and advancements in general dentistry; cosmetic dentistry; dentures; crowns; dental implants; veneers; cleaning and consultation; root canals; and Zoom! whitening. As part of its approach to serving the community, the practice also offers a 15 percent discount for senior citizens.

When patients visit Ardent Smile, they are welcomed into a multispecialty practice by a professional staff that includes Dr. Vinnikov, Dr. Jessica Lynch (orthodontist) and Dr. George Bandelac (periodontist and prosthodontist). Each of them is highly trained and committed to providing the highest standard of dental care and hygiene in a 1,700-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility.

“We do comprehensive dentistry for adults and children, and this involves orthodontics, periodontics, cosmetic dentistry—essentially, whatever their needs may be,” Dr. Vinnikov says. “People come in looking to achieve the most ideal outcome. Some of them need to undergo several procedures prior to that, which might include orthodontic treatment, periodontal surgeries and preventative care.”

Building Trust
The office is equipped with intra-oral cameras, digital X-rays, ultrasonic scaling devices and VELscope—the industry’s leading oral cancer-screening device—which enables dentists to identify abnormal changes in a patient’s mouth. A VELscope examination, which is quick and painless, also assists in the early detection of other mucosal abnormalities, such as pre-malignant dysplasia, or abnormal growth or development of cells, which may not be apparent to the naked eye.

“We will do everything to ensure that a patient is getting the best care,” Dr. Vinnikov says. “We want to make them comfortable. Many times a patient comes to us and is very nervous. What I do and our staff does is explain what we will do for them and why. When the patient knows that, they tend to relax. You have to build a level of trust. We give them options, tell them about each of them, and let them decide.”

Ardent Smile continues to expand the services it offers to the community. For example, the practice will soon debut a suite for pediatric dental care, which Dr. Vinnikov envisions as “kid-friendly, with a separate entrance for the kids.” William Otto of Doylestown and his two children have already experienced the intimate care and concern from the entire staff at Ardent Care, whom he describes as “fabulous.”

“The experience is great, the workmanship is terrific, you never feel any pain, and the office and suites are organized, neat and clean,” he says. “My children love going there. How many kids do you know who love going to the dentist? I couldn’t be happier I found her.”
