Perfect Fit
Dental Excellence of Blue Bell offers a transformative treatment designed to improve denture wearers’ self-confidence and quality of life

People with bright and healthy smiles tend to have higher self-confidence and, as a result, enjoy a better quality of life. On the other hand, those with compromised smiles, especially those who wear traditional or economy dentures, tend to have much less to smile about.

Kenneth Siegel, D.M.D., understands this better than most. Because of this, he has added a revolutionary new treatment option—Strickland Facelift Dentures—that enables denture wearers to smile with pride and confidence, knowing they look their very best. They have proven to be a superior alternative to other dentures, according to Dr. Siegel.

“Strickland Facelift Dentures are a fantastic investment because they’re usually the last denture the patient ever needs,” he says. “Compare that to traditional or economy dentures that have a tendency to wear out because of poor fit,” and ultimately causes the patient to spend more money than necessary because of repairs, refits and replacements.

Strickland Facelift Dentures employ the fundamentals of neuromuscular dentistry, which deals with the joints and muscles in and around the mouth. Because of this, they provide underlying facial support to plump the lips, lessen wrinkles, fill out the face and provides for a better fit, feel and appearance.

“I saw a significant need in the market for high-end dentures,” explains Rod Strickland, D.D.S., inventor of Strickland Facelift Dentures. “There are many unhappy denture wearers, and many of them have no idea that there is such a thing as a beautiful and natural looking denture.”

The product sounds simple yet is rather brilliant in concept. Strickland Facelift Dentures are formulated to fit where the teeth should be; as Dr. Strickland says, they teach dentists “how to replicate what nature should have provided.”

Patients can expect to get dentures that replicate the smile and facial support that they always should have had. “When someone loses their teeth, they will subsequently lose jawbone as well,” explains Dr. Strickland. “This results in what I call the ‘denture look.’ It’s when the lower third of the face appears sunken in, also known as resorption.”

Strickland Facelift Dentures work in conjunction with mouth tissues, muscles and nerves to restore the jawline, leaving clients with a sort of nonsurgical facelift. Dr. Siegel’s practice, Dental Excellence of Blue Bell, is among a select number of dentistry practices nationwide to offer this transformative treatment option.

“The first thing [that is different compared to traditional and economy dentures] is the impression that is taken using neuromuscular techniques,” says Dr. Siegel. “This allows the muscles to relax and mold the impression perfectly so that it fits great. The second is that we take into consideration the patient’s facial features and can restore the original facial height that they had when they had teeth. This gives them the facelift look instead of the sunken-in face of a traditional denture wearer.”

Although Dr. Siegel is part of a growing network of dentists offering Strickland Facelift Dentures, he is one of few providers in the Philadelphia area. In addition to Strickland Facelift Dentures, the practice utilizes state-of-the-art technology such as lasers for fillings, root canals and gum treatments, as well as digital X-rays and CEREC one-visit crowns.

“Our practice already offers fantastic, comprehensive general dentistry and excellent cosmetic dentistry to patients who have teeth in need of help by way of dental implants or porcelain crowns and veneers,” says Dr. Siegel. “I saw Strickland Facelift Dentures as a way to offer the same excellent care to patients who needed dentures. I decided to take the course [offered by Dr. Strickland] so that I could offer our patients the finest dentures available.”

Also, the quality of the lab work is above and beyond what a patient might expect from those of traditional and economy dentures. “The teeth look real,” says Dr. Siegel. “All of these factors work together to make a denture that makes the patient look years younger and have a better quality of life.”

Even patients with remaining teeth are eligible to wear Strickland Facelift Dentures, according to Dr. Siegel. If the patient has teeth they wish to have removed, a healing denture is fabricated, thereby allowing the bone to shrink to its final level before the denture is made. And if they would like to keep their existing teeth, Strickland Facelift Dentures protocols can still be followed and crowns can be placed on the remaining existing teeth.

Patients with dental implants are also candidates for Strickland Facelift Dentures, as dental implants help to stabilize the positioning of the dentures. “Dental implants act as teeth roots in the patient’s jaw,” Dr. Siegel explains. “So, these already amazingly stable dentures become rock solid when they are implant supported.”

The product may even help denture wearers live longer, on average, “simply because they feel like they have a new lease on life,” says Dr. Siegel.

“Our patients with Strickland Facelift Dentures also like the way they look,” he says. “This improved self-confidence prompts them to take better care of themselves.”

Studies have shown that “edentulous individuals” (those who are missing teeth), can suffer from poor nutrition. People who wear Strickland Facelift Dentures should be able to chew better due to their dentures fitting like natural teeth. In turn, this will lead to better overall nutrition.

At Dental Excellence of Blue Bell, patients can expect excellent care. Not only does Dr. Siegel provide his patients with exceptional service, but he also offers treatments such as Strickland Facelift Dentures that have long-term value, in terms of both economics and quality of life.

“From a quality-of-life standpoint, Strickland Facelift Dentures are priceless,” Dr. Siegel concludes. “When [patients] get the final dentures, they are amazed at the difference that the dentures make in day-to-day life.”
