Lights, Camera … Popcorn!
by Josephine Cusumano

This time of year just might be my favorite. Since it’s still too cold out— despite those several days that felt a lot like spring—it’s the best time to head to the movies or cuddle up at home to watch some of this year’s Oscar-winning films. Whether you were a fan of Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, La La Land, Lion, Manchester By the Sea Landor Moonlight, there was a film that hit almost every genre and not to mention all the emotions.

Personally, I was a huge fan of the musical inspired by Hollywood, La La Land. I’m usually not one to watch musicals, but this film—which was directed by our very own Princeton native Damien Chazelle—exceeded my expectations. For one, our cover star Emma Stone and her co-star Ryan Gosling have a chemistry that’s undeniable, and the music and dance simply pulled at my heartstrings. It’s a lovers’ film for big dreams and I left the theater with stars in my eyes.

This is why I’m so excited about our new issue, which features Stone, who is a newly-minted Academy Award-winning actress. She proves to us over and over again that she’s one of a kind and we learn just how similar her experience with Hollywood is compared to her character, Mia.

But movies aren’t the only thing we have in store for you. We’re proud to feature our inaugural Best of Home and Garden, giving you the chance to spring ahead with any and all outdoor projects you have in mind for the upcoming season. With that, we also have our annual listing for this year’s Top Attorneys—showcasing over 200 law defenders who will fight for your best interests. So pop the popcorn and get settled: there’s a lot to see.
