Dentists in the Greater Philadelphia Area earn “five stars” for their commitments to patient care, craftsmanship, and community.
The search for a good dentist is, in some ways, like finding a spouse: Once you find one you can trust, who treats you well, and always has your best interests in mind, you don’t let go.
Luckily, the Greater Philadelphia Area has an abundance of dental health professionals, capable of addressing any need as it relates to the health and aesthetics of the smile. If you haven’t yet found “the right one” or you’re looking for an upgrade, we’re here to help.
Earlier this year, we ran a months-long poll on our website asking readers for their perspective on the area’s top dentists. Their recommendations are included here, and we also included some selections of our own, based on recent stories we have done on dental professionals known for the devotion to their craft. From there, we vetted each individual based on five criteria:
* Are they licensed and insured as dental professionals?
* Do they have advanced training in a specific area of specialty and/or board certification?
* Are they affiliated with notable professional organizations such as the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association, among others?
* Do they commit to at least 30 hours of continuing education every two years?
* Do they “give back” by way of community involvement, philanthropic endeavors, and/or providing dental services to those most in need?
One point worth clarifying: While a number of the professionals featured in this piece do advertise in Suburban Life, inclusion on this list was not based on their willingness to advertise. Without any further ado, we present our 2019 “Five-star Dentists.”
