Local dental professionals earn “five stars” for their devotion to improving patients’ health and making communities stronger.
“Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful,” said Thich Nhat Hanh, a global spiritual leader, poet, and champion for peace.
A smile carries so much weight, capable of transforming your frame of mind, brightening someone else’s day, and signaling to the rest of the world that life is good. Therefore, a smile deserves the time, care, and attention of a skilled professional. Luckily, the Philadelphia area abounds with highly skilled, educated, and trained dentists who have expertise in everything from minor cosmetic restorations to complete smile makeovers.
We invited readers to share their thoughts regarding which dentists deserve “five stars” for their skill, compassion, and commitment to their vocation. In addition to readers’ suggestions, we included some select dental professionals who have been featured in the pages of this magazine. From there, we vetted these individuals on five distinct criteria:
* Are they licensed to practice and insured as dental professionals?
* Do they possess board certification or advanced training in specific areas of specialty?
* Are they affiliated with notable professional organizations such as the American Dental Association or the Pennsylvania Dental Association?
* Do they commit to continuing education to expand their knowledge base?
* Are they strengthening their communities through philanthropic endeavors or otherwise helping those most in need?
On the following pages, we present our Five-star Dentists, Class of 2021. While we salute these professionals, we also acknowledge that the Philadelphia area has many highly skilled dentists, not all of whom are featured here.
