Irreplaceable. People often use this word to describe a valued co-worker, a dear friend, or even a beloved pet, but the word may also apply to a skilled and trusted dentist—someone capable of maintaining the function, aesthetics, and overall health of the teeth and surrounding structures.

It’s easy to imagine patients using the word—irreplaceable—in conversations about Dilip N. Dudhat, D.M.D., DICOI. As the founder of Dudhat Dental Group, which has offices throughout the Philadelphia area, including Oasis Dental Team in Bala Cynwyd, Dr. Dudhat has gained a reputation for skillfully addressing, if not undoing, the fears that tend to give people second thoughts about going to the dentist.

“People don’t go to the dentist because of three reasons: time, fear, and money,” Dr. Dudhat says. “We do everything we can to help people overcome each of those barriers, and their overall health—not just their dental health—is better because of it.”

Oasis Dental Team joined Dudhat Dental Group in late 2021. The office provides the full gamut of dentistry services to address virtually any concern, from the simple (routine checkups and cleanings) to the sophisticated (complex procedures such as LANAP®, short for Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, a minimally invasive procedure that uses a specialized laser to effectively treat periodontal disease). In addition, dental implants are an area of specialty; Dr. Dudhat estimates that he has placed and restored more than 20,000 implants. He also treats failing implants, and replaces teeth with single implants all the way up to full-mouth rehabilitations.

Besides Dr. Dudhat, Oasis Dental Team’s clinicians include Hope Berman, D.M.D., who earned her dental doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and Garima Sinha, D.M.D., who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. The clinical team specializes in family, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry, as well as the treatment of potentially serious conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea.

“We are a comprehensive practice that treats every dental need under one roof,” Dr. Dudhat says. “Whether someone needs Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, dental implants, or a full-mouth restoration, we’re offer convenient hours, a very accessible location, and a choice of very capable dentists. We also have cutting-edge technology to facilitate each patient’s diagnosis and treatment.”

Next-level technology includes the iTero 5D Plus system, which combines digital scanning and near-infrared imaging (also known as NIRI) to help dentists find and treat dental caries. Likewise, cone beam computed tomography, or CBCT, enables clinicians to gain a 3D view of the patient’s mouth for use in complex restorations. Dr. Dudhat says CBCT technology benefits patients in several ways, including reduced costs, expedited care, and lower radiation doses compared with traditional X-rays.

“We take a lot of pride in serving the Philadelphia community,” Dr. Dudhat adds. “With our Bala Cynwyd location, we are able to deliver the same level of care as a Center City dental practice. The office has the added value of offering plenty of parking, flexible hours, and easy access to anywhere you have to go.”

Rather than take his word for it, Dr. Dudhat suggests listening to what his current patients have to say about the experience of sitting in his chair. His practice’s website, PhiladelphiaEaglesDentist.com, abounds with glowing testimonials from satisfied patients, including some faces that would likely be familiar to fans of a certain local sports team.

In 2021, Dudhat Dental Group became the official dentist of the Philadelphia Eagles. Dr. Dudhat has treated a number of Eagles players, members of the team’s coaching/training personnel, front office staff, and Eagles Autism Foundation. Dr. Dudhat and his team of handpicked clinicians is responsible for screening each player and for overall oral health at the beginning of the season. After all, the Eagles organization recognizes that dental problems can have a negative impact on a player’s ability to condition, train, and achieve optimal results on the field.

Regardless of the individual or the office location, Dudhat Dental Group strives to offer a comfortable and relaxing environment designed to put patients at ease.

“My goal has always been to help people, first and foremost, with ethical, accessible, and affordable dentistry,” he says. “I have always believed making exceptional, compassionate care a priority would be our recipe for success, and not looking for success first. The pace and scope of our practice’s growth tells me that people are eager for the kind of care and attention that we deliver every day.”
