No Place Like Heather Bleu Home
Guests of Heather Bleu Home discover a treasure trove of fashion, fun, and community in the heart of Doylestown.

Originally a home goods store, Heather Bleu Home in Bucks County has evolved into a destination for relaxed and romantic clothing, accessories, and gifts. We had the pleasure of sitting down with the store’s owner, Tara Klinges, to find out more about this special spot.

Q&A
Tell us more about your shop and what inspired you to open it.

When I was 10 years old, I spent many afternoons sitting on a beautiful green velvet sofa in my mother’s boutique in Haverford, Pennsylvania. I loved watching her collaborate with designers, pinning models with silk and beads that she had made for her customers. That was where the dream began.

Today, Heather Bleu Home is a culmination of all the things I love. I want you to walk in the door and feel at home and relaxed. I want an experience for you more than wanting you to shop. Tranquil music softly plays in the background, while subtle notes of citrus and gardenia fill the air from our apothecary lines. Our walls are filled with effortless, bohemian silhouettes. All things cotton, linen, and layered.

Tell us about your town and why you love it.
I’m not a Doylestown native, but in the past 13 years living here I’ve never felt more at home. This town has such a strong sense of community, filled with loving and supportive people. We wouldn’t have made it over these past 10 years without their love and enthusiasm for our dream and for us. I wanted to open a store that reflected the feeling I experienced when I moved here.

Can you share more about what makes your boutique a magical place?
Honestly, the people. I have the pleasure of working with so many incredible, talented makers and designers, as well as the smart and hardworking group of women who make up the HBH team. And, of course, our wonderful customers.

How do you choose which lines and designers to stock, and what draws you to these products in general?
I choose everything we carry organically. I look for pieces made with care, love, and skill. My goal is to empower women. I bring in lines that are unique and comfortable, pieces that help uplift and nurture confidence.

Supporting small and local businesses is also very important to me. I have made it a priority to have all of our apothecary and candle lines all women owned and made in the USA. I also work and collaborate with local jewelry and accessories designers.

Does your personal philosophy reflect in the store and, if so, how?
Absolutely! The pillars of my store are integrity and kindness. You can count on us to always answer your question of, “How do I look?” with honesty. I also know how hard life is, and that simple kindnesses and compassion go a long way. I want everyone to leave feeling lighter if I can.

What are you currently most excited about?
Summer is my favorite time of year. We have so many amazing pieces coming in. I am personally really excited about our palazzo pants, lightweight knits, and linen rompers, all of which will soon be available online as we are expanding our offerings through our website.

Thank you, Tara. It’s been lovely speaking with you. Be sure to visit Heather Bleu Home; it’s a gem you don’t want to miss.
