The private otorhinolaryngology and facial plastic surgery practice led by Joshua E. Goldberg, D.O., FACOS, has been trusted by patients for more than 40 years. From the convenient office in Willow Grove, Dr. Goldberg and his staff, including audiologist Kristina Meyer, Au.D., are known for providing exceptional service to the Philadelphia area.

From the front desk and office staff, to the nursing staff, to the allergy and audiology team, the practice strives to provide university-level care for issues pertaining to the ears, nose, and throat (ENT) and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Goldberg designed the practice with a subspecialty interest: Ear & Hearing Specialists Inc., Nose & Sinus Allergy Specialist, Philadelphia Snoring Center, Voice Swallowing Cough Institute, Head and Neck Center, Children’s ENT, and TMJ Migraine Facial Pain Specialty.

“We’re seeing a lot of demand in my practice for people with urgent needs—ear, nasal, sinus, and throat emergencies, infections, breathing issues, injuries to the face and neck, nasal and sinus-care needs—and these are things that people can’t wait a long time to get addressed effectively,” he says. “If a specialist can’t see them promptly, they may feel like their only option is to go to urgent care or the emergency room. We are here to help people in a prompt and efficient manner.”

Dr. Goldberg’s practice handles everything from A to Z regarding hearing loss, vertigo, earaches, allergies, sinus problems, and snoring, including home studies for snoring and sleep apnea treatments such as Airlift and Inspire, just to name a couple. In addition, Dr. Goldberg is board certified in pediatric ENT, with 21 years of experience in treating children, and trained at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he became versed in all aspects of pediatric ENT conditions. Dr. Meyer is comfortable seeing children with audiology problems.

As a specialist in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Goldberg provides functional rhinoplasty, minimally invasive facelift, otoplasty, blepharoplasty, and reconstruction of the face and neck. The practice also offers a range of skincare treatments, including laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and cosmetic injectables (Botox, Dysport, Juvéderm, Restylane, Kybella, etc.) through an in-house med spa.

“No matter what kind of treatment a patient needs, we’re here to help,” Dr. Goldberg says. “It’s a nice specialty to be part of, because we get to treat patients of all ages, and many of them are in pain or discomfort that we can address. We also strive to make patients look and feel their best. It’s very rewarding in that way.”

The practice prioritizes a patient’s time through policies and procedures designed to facilitate expediency and enhance the patient experience. To begin with, Dr. Goldberg views his relationship with each patient as a partnership of sorts—a team with the shared goal of improving the patient’s health.

“We work very hard to make sure we’re available to patients when they need us,” he adds. “We have a skilled staff of nurses who can accommodate patients’ needs and a convenient patient portal so we can get patients scheduled promptly. We also offer the latest technology for testing and treatment; for example, we have brand-new equipment for audiology and vestibular testing so we can evaluate the inner ear, specifically the system associated with hearing and balance. For those who are unavailable in the morning or afternoon, we offer evening hours two days a week—until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.”

The same accommodating approach applies to incoming phone calls from patients who require swift medical attention. Either Dr. Goldberg or a member of his staff will handle these calls directly so each patient feels seen, heard, and taken care of. He admits that the work demands a lot of time and energy from him and his staff, but he says they are happy to do so.

A staple of the community for more than four decades, Dr. Goldberg’s practice offers all services at one convenient, handicap-accessible, and centrally located office, complete with a spacious parking lot. If supplemental care is needed, the practice maintains affiliations with Jefferson University Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

“Our goal is to take care of our patients, and they seem gratified with what we do for them,” Dr. Goldberg adds. “We have been in the same location for 40 years. We may have grown and evolved in that time, but what has not changed is our commitment to offering expert specialty care to our patients how and when they need it.”
