When Dilip N. Dudhat, D.M.D., DICOI, graduated from the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry at the age of 24, he had one driving goal: to open a dental practice of his own capable of providing comprehensive dental care, while removing the obstacles that cause people to neglect their smile.

Dr. Dudhat now leads one of the area’s largest and most recognizable dentistry practices. His team has grown to include more than 20 locations throughout the Philadelphia suburbs, all under the umbrella of Dudhat Dental Group.

“People don’t go to the dentist because of three reasons: time, fear, and money,” Dr. Dudhat says. “As I was starting my practice, I wanted to help people overcome each of those barriers so they could improve their dental health as well as their overall health.”

In regard to time, the practice’s wealth of clinical experience and a commitment to continuing education makes it possible to perform a wide swath of dental services under one roof. Dr. Dudhat also cites state-of-the-art diagnostic technology such as the iTero 5D Plus system and cone beam computed tomography, which expedite care. In regard to fear, the practice not only provides a comfortable and relaxed environment, but also offers different types of sedation, including nitrous oxide, for those who need extra support. Finally, in regard to money, the practice offers a convenient payment plan (up to 60 months) through CareCredit.

At each office within Dudhat Dental Group, patients can expect to be treated by a team of highly skilled dentists. The clinical team at Advanced Dental Esthetics in Colmar, for example, includes Neha Ajmera, D.M.D., Pratik Patel, D.M.D., and Cara Slugaski, D.M.D.

Dr. Ajmera has been with Advanced Dental Esthetics for 13 years. Born and raised in India, she earned her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She practices all aspects of general dentistry, with extensive training in restorative, implant, cosmetic, and prosthetic dentistry, along with guided bone regeneration; she is also certified in the YOMI robotic dental implant system. In her personal life, she enjoys traveling, reading, and listening to music, as well as spending time with her husband and twin boys.

Dr. Patel, a Philadelphia native, graduated from the Temple University School of Dental Medicine. He has performed all aspects of dentistry in his three years with the practice, and he has a gift for making strong connections with patients. Apart from dentistry, he is passionate about scuba diving (he became certified at age 17), downhill skiing, painting, and photography.

Dr. Slugaski, a New Jersey native who has been with the practice for four years, performs all aspects of dentistry. She earned her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and later completed her general practice residency at Einstein Hospital. Apart from dentistry, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and exercise, as well as rooting for her favorite Philadelphia sports teams.

Their backgrounds and collective experience enable Advanced Dental Esthetics to provide the full gamut of dental services, from the simple (routine checkups and cleanings) to the sophisticated (complex procedures such as minimally invasive laser treatments for periodontal disease). Dental implants, from single teeth to full-mouth rehabilitations, represent another area of specialty. The office utilizes the YOMI robotic dental implant system, which uses robotic technology to place each implant under the direction of a seasoned clinician, with the goal of providing a superior result.

Dudhat Dental Group has evolved apart from its office locations and all-star clinical team. In 2021, the practice achieved a significant milestone by earning a rather distinctive designation: Official Dentist of the Philadelphia Eagles. Eagles such as Reed Blankenship and DeVonta Smith, among others, have sought treatment at Advanced Dental Esthetics and its sister locations throughout the Philadelphia area.

Some of the players have benefited from oral appliance therapy to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). An effective alternative to a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine, which many patients cannot tolerate, oral appliance therapy also helps with conditions like bruxism, or teeth grinding. Dr. Dudhat is especially passionate about treating players for OSA because of its role in the 2004 death of Eagles great Reggie White.

“Whether we’re treating one of the Eagles or one of our neighbors, we’re committed to constantly improving our skill sets and adopting technology that will help us address patients’ immediate needs and concerns,” Dr. Dudhat says. “Everything we do is designed to deliver a better experience every time our patients walk through the door.”
