Expanding Excellence
With an expanded surgical team and a growing presence in Bucks and Montgomery counties, Innovative Oral Surgery & Dental Implants builds on its legacy of high-quality care and exceptional patient outcomes.
Innovative Oral Surgery & Dental Implants has made its mark on the world by helping patients change their lives for the better. In turn, the oral and maxillofacial surgical practice has undergone its own dramatic transformation in recent years, with the goal of making high-quality care accessible to more patients.
Founded nearly half a century ago at an office in Feasterville, Innovative Oral Surgery and Dental Implants opened a second Bucks County office, in Newtown, in 2019. The practice branched out to Montgomery County two years later with the creation of an ultra-modern outpatient surgical center in Abington.
The practice’s growth also applies to the surgical team, which now includes five oral and maxillofacial surgeons: Michael B. Salin, D.M.D.; Jared S. Weiner, D.M.D.; Adam J. Semanoff, D.M.D.; Bryan M. Nack, D.M.D.—all of whom are board certified—and the newest member of the team, Matt Kosakowski, D.M.D., who is currently in the process of completing his board certification. All five specialize in advanced procedures such as dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, full-arch restorations, and bone grafting.
Combining surgical expertise with the most advanced materials and cutting-edge technology such as 3D-guided implant placement, digital radiography, and cone beam computed tomography has enabled the team to take on even the most complex cases, according to Dr. Salin.
“We are surgical specialists, and we see general and restorative dentists as our partners,” he says. “A lot of dentists have grown to enjoy restorative work and surgery, and we’re here to provide support when cases go beyond their scope of expertise. We’re committed to providing exceptional care to every patient, and to return the patient to their dentist with their surgical issues fully resolved.”
The practice thrives on such collaboration, according to Dr. Kosakowski. He believes a deep commitment to supporting dentists and their patients through every step of the process makes Innovative Oral Surgery & Dental Implants an ideal partner.
“We understand how important it is for general dentists to have a trusted specialist they can rely on for complex procedures,” he says. “Our goal is always to make sure that the patient’s needs are met, which enhances the relationship between us and the referring doctor.”
Dr. Semanoff sees the practice’s precise areas of focus as a core strength. Rather than trying to be “everything to everyone,” he and his fellow clinicians focus on doing oral surgery the right way. To him, that means personalized treatment, thoughtful communication, and superior patient outcomes.
“We’re also parents, spouses, and patients ourselves,” he says. “We know how hard it is to balance health care with work, family, and life. That’s why we keep things efficient, minimize surprises, and treat every patient like we’d want our own family treated. We’ve worked hard to build something we believe in, and we’re proud to share it with our community.”
“We really want to know what patients want, and we want to do everything we can to tailor our treatment toward their wants, needs, or even fears,” Dr. Weiner adds. “In the end they can expect high-quality care with the latest technology, and most importantly they can expect to be made to feel like family.”
More recently, Innovative Oral Surgery & Dental Implants has become widely known for its ability to provide solutions for individuals who might have been told they are not good candidates for implants. Examples include zygomatic implants, in which implants are placed in a patient’s cheekbone rather than jawbone, and All-On-4® treatment, in which patients can enjoy the complete replacement of their teeth using just four anchor implants, usually within 24 hours.
While specialized technology and expertise have no doubt fueled the practice’s continued growth, Dr. Nack traces the practice’s success to something much simpler.
“We take the time to listen, to explain, and to be present every step of the way—from the initial consultation through recovery,” he says. “Our patients leave not only with excellent clinical results, but also with the confidence that they were genuinely cared for throughout the process.”
While he and his fellow surgeons enjoy the artistry and challenge of their work, Dr. Salin says each of them pursued the same career path for the same reason: the desire to make a difference in the lives of other people. For example, he and Dr. Nack mentor residents at Jefferson Abington Hospital to help the next generation of dentists to perform dental implants and other procedures with confidence. He also cites a program known as Second Chance Smiles, in which the practice provides a free smile makeover to a patient in their community with profound need.
“We’re all here because we like helping people,” he adds. “To have patients walk out of here and say, ‘You really helped me,’ that’s really meaningful. With implants, you’re basically recreating someone’s smile and giving them back their confidence. There’s no describing how good that feels, for them or for us.”
