Although it began as “the bare thread of an idea,” Gianti Fabrics in Feasterville has since grown into a leading wholesale distributor and retailer of the world’s most beautiful drapery and upholstery fabrics.

For years Gianti has been providing the Philadelphia suburbs with innovative fabrics (including leather, trim and drapery hardware) that add style and distinction to any home. With patterns inspired by cultures from around the world—whether elegant or casual, chic or sophisticated, contemporary or traditionalthese fabrics are inspiring to interior designers, textile designers and homeowners alike.

“Our designer showroom caters to all the interior designers in the area and their customers,” says Roger Copti, owner of Gianti Fabrics. “We offer a one-stop experience to satisfy any customer’s needs.”

Every designer or homeowner has their own unique style, which is one reason why Gianti carries thousands of options from a roster of carefully selected manufacturers—namely, Maxwell, Kravet, JF Fabrics, RM COCO, Fabricut, Unique and Duralee, among others. Visitors to Gianti’s comprehensive showroom and design center will soon be able to peruse the spring 2012 Elegancia collection, which is brought over from Europe exclusively for Gianti to distribute in the United States.

“The fabrics we offer are not something you can just pick up off the shelf,” Copti says. “Instead, they are elegant, upscale and hand-picked for each customer. Our goal with each job is to create something that you will love and enjoy.”

In addition to being a preferred retailer and distributor of upscale fabrics, the firm is also an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer, featuring the Silhouette, Luminette, Duette and other notable Hunter Douglas shades.

Style is, if anything, just a perspective, meaning everyone has different tastes. To satisfy these tastes, Gianti has highly skilled consultants always on hand to help customers realize their visions. Services include fabrication and installation of custom window treatment, headboards, bedspreads, pillow cases, cushion covers, lamp shades, table cloths, place mats, table runners, bolster cushions, window seats and bed throws, among many other items.

Regardless of product, each Gianti installation is done quickly and skillfully, and once the job is complete the transformation is immediate. Gianti can deliver virtually any job within four to six weeks, depending on product availability.

Taking Fashion into Window Treatment

Beyond the breadth of services and options, Gianti also stands apart with its talented staff of more than a dozen designers and fabricators. Among them is master designer Yuliya Krychun, who leads the design and development of all the company’s window treatments. At a young age, Krychun started designing and fabricating her own clothes while growing up in the Ukraine, and has since brought her fashion background into Gianti’s world of window treatments.

“Yuliya is truly a master at what she does,” he says. “She has designed the window treatments for a number of residential and commercial establishments in the tri-state, and each one is more beautiful than the last. She’s the one who handles everything for the customer from A to Z, from the ideas and sketches to the design and creation—everything. Every treatment she does is unique, and she makes sure the fabrication is exactly what the customer is promised.”

For his part, Copti had a strong background in interior design long before he decided to open his own business. He grew up working in his family’s furniture factory, and coming of age in such a unique environment helped him develop an eye for beauty. In addition, he and his staff continually travel the world—throughout Europe and the Middle East, specifically—to hone their skills and continually identify the latest trends in home fashion.

“We bring so many beautiful items to the United States and gain distribution here,” he says. “In addition, we are the exclusive distributors of American-made fabric to a U.S. company in the Middle East, specifically to countries such as Dubai and Saudi Arabia. We basically help the economy grow here in the U.S. and put people to work, while introducing people in other countries to well-made American products.”

In short, Gianti is all about flexibility, exceptional service and providing inspiring options that suit a customer’s individual needs—in a sense, turning the home into a work of art.

“We are growing incredibly fast, and there’s a good reason why,” Copti says. “The people who live in this area appreciate beautiful design, and every piece of fabric we carry is exquisitely made and installed. There’s so much to choose from here at Gianti, and I welcome them to come in so they can see for themselves.”
